Our paper on the formulation and evaluation of numerical indicator called “nigiwai” that can quantitatively identify whether the situation is simply dense or crowded with some kind of event has been published in IEEE ACCESS. It is work of Kyushu University COI.

Even if it looks like a similar crowd at first glance, we do not know the attributes of the crowd, such as whether they are people who are simply passing by the shopping street or a group of people who are visiting for sightseeing. The result of this research is to make it possible to discriminate the attributes of the crowd by considering the motion vector of the person even if the image is similar.
